About the Library

LIBRARY HISTORY

The Orleans Public Library was dedicated on October 14, 1915.  Its construction was partially funded by a Carnegie grant.  The Orleans Orchestra entertained guests at the initial celebratory social and the library contained approximately 1,000 volumes.

A major renovation and building addition was completed in 2017, doubling the size of the historic library.
